Sterling silver beads flank the large central wound glass bead which would have been made by the Dutch between 1700-1800. Found amongst the Dogon people in Mali, and the Yoruba people in Nigeria who called them moon, or power beads.
The trade beads were molded and faceted in the Czech Republic, which was once Bohemian the late 19th century. Beads such as these were once traded throughout West Africa. The clasp is base metal.
The Bohemian bead on the earrings are on a sterling silver wire.
The necklace is 22 ½" from end-to-end and 10 ½" from top-to-bottom.
The earrings are 2 ¼".
