This large open bracelet, decorated with parallel lines and semi-circles was the ornament of the Baule women of Ivory Coast, typical of the Akan ethnic group. It could be used as currency and was sometimes found on family altars.
Made using the lost wax method.
Height: 1 ¼" x outer diameter of 3 ¾" x inner diameter of 2". The opening is 1 ⅛".
