Delicately carved with a whitish clay coating, heart shaped face, long nose, small mouth, with incised geometric designs outlined in black. These often appear as two headed janus face, or multi faced helmet masks, whilst this is a single frontal face., and is particularly expressive and carved in high relief.
A few were made about 100 years ago probably for sale, but are nonetheless beautifully made.
