Electroplated jewelry is jewelry that has had a thin layer of a desired metal (in this case silver) applied to its surface through electrolysis. This process involves immersing the jewelry in a solution containing metal ions and then passing an electrical current through the solution, causing the metal ions to bond with the jewelry's surface.
This was done to give the pearls a more uniform appearance.
It has a sterling silver clasp, and each pearl is about a ¼".
It measures 8" from top to bottom, or 18 ¾" from end to end.
