Iron currency with leaf shaped, or spear head, or some even say hoe shaped blade with small knob on top. The two appendages added to the lower tips of it underline the non-utilitarian character of this type of currency
This interesting type of iron currency was once used for major transactions such as dowry payments, and held great value in Central Africa amongst groups like the Ngbaka, Mbanza, Lobala and Bangala. They were highly coveted and considered symbols of wealth and status within the community.
Iron had about the same significance as gold has in the western world.
