This dates back to the early-mid 20th century and was used for significant commercial transactions such as wedding bride price. It showcases a distinctive indented hoe or trapazoid shape from hand forged iron.
Wear is consistent with age and use.
It was collected back in the 1960's by Max Kirkeburg who was doing research into oral histories in the area at that time. Note, it was old when it was collected about 60 years ago!
