Conus Currency Shell Donut Necklace #4

$75.00
The central piece is a currency conus shell from the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea, once used as money. The saying "how much did you shell out for that?" came from when people used shells as money!
The necklace is on leather and is knotted in back (no clasp necessary), with a green Hebron bead, and a West African bronze bead.

The shell has a 2 3/8" diameter, and the length of the necklace is 21" top to bottom.

It only weighs 1.20 ounces, or 34 grams.
