These adorable mint green birds have been hand-shaped in wire and hand-beaded by individual artisans. At Africa and Beyond, we work with artisans in South Africa to design products utilizing their wonderful crafts and to find for them a significant and real place in our markets. Supplying them basic items such as beads and wire gives them something that they can use to make wonderful and whimsical things; the end result bringing economic uplift through much needed fair trade employment. With every new design, we hope to put a smile of satisfaction and pride on the artisan's face and bring beautiful products for many to enjoy!
