The divination bag is comprised of a square form, with
overlapping flap, stitched in
multi-colored beads in the
form of a face flanked by
various geometric elements.
The leather bag of Ifa (Apo Ifa) is
used by a diviner (babalawo)
to carry the set of 16 palm
nuts (ikin), the divining chain
(opele), & other ritual accessories. Ifa diviners were the
only non-royal group to use
beaded objects.
Height with Strap: 20 ½", and the bag itself is 10 ½" in height x Width: 10 ¼" x Depth: 1".
