Antique African tribal bracelet, featuring three bell-shaped adornments, slightly open like a shell.
It has open ends and three spherical bells attached ( all still ring), each with ridged geometric detailing.
It may have been used both as adornment and as a form of exchange, or currency.
It is believed that the bells were used to summon protective ancestral spirits of the wearer, so when danced, it would have made a great sound.
Created using the "lost wax" method, and as the mold can only be used once in this process, this is a one of a kind piece!
