Antique West African bracelet, featuring three closely knit bell-shaped adornments, slightly open like a shell.
It has open ends and three spherical bells attached ( they no longer ring), each with ridged geometric detailing. Due to its age and usage, it has lots of wear and tear, and has been priced accordingly.
It may have been used both as adornment and as a form of exchange, or currency.
It is believed that the bells were used to summon protective ancestral spirits of the wearer.
Created using the "lost wax" method, which means the mold can only be used once in this process.
