sunlight and deflect darkness, as well as offer protection
against the evil eye.
Legend has it that
wearing a piece of amber will bring you good health &
long life. Amber has been used as a healing source for
centuries.

For thousands of years, amber has been valued for its amuletic and medicinal properties. It is highly regarded throughout West Africa for its color and trade value. As recently as 30 years ago amber beads were still being used in bride purchases. One large bead was worth 4 cows.
There are 42 amber beads in this strand. All beads are natural and vary in size, shape, and color. We have restrung this on a strong fish line.
