Zithers are characterized as having their strings
stretched across the resonator of the instrument,
rather than attached at one end to the instrumentís
neck. The strings would be stretched over the body
of the trough, attached through holes at either end.
A figural wooden instrument with handle carved in
an anthropomorphic form. Played to accompany
songs & dances.
