This elaborate multi-spiraled, currency
piece would have been used as a form of exchange or
trade. It is a curved, wrought iron plate wound into a
spiral at its extremities. Currency took many forms in
ancient Africa. Common across the continent were metal
objects shaped like spearheads, coins and spirals.

Mounted on a 4" square stand on which it is 6 ½" in height.
