This elaborate multi-spiraled, currency piece would have been used as a form of exchange or trade. It is a curved, wrought iron plate wound into a spiral at its extremities. Currency took many forms in ancient Africa. Common across the continent were metal objects shaped like spearheads, coins and spirals.

Height: 5" x Width: 4 ⅞" x Depth: 1/16.

Mounted on a 4" square stand on which it is 6 " in height.
