A practical vessel used during ceremonies to dispense palm wine to drink and libate for the ancestors. A natural large gourd with bulbous base ascending to the narrow neck for pouring. A maize cob was often used as a stopper. A really beautiful shape and styling. These containers were often mended when broken, and used for years.
