Title: Woven Beaded Purple "Pod" Earrings
Material: Brass wire with oxidized sterling silver plate
Description: Entirely woven by hand. The silver and 18K
gold coatings are executed by hand on an individual basis.
The fine wire is crocheted, following mathematical
calculations to achieve the shape of each design.
Using a simple crochet hook, the jewelry is hand
crocheted, work that cannot be duplicated by machine.
Crocheted into the wire are tiny beads, which dangle
from the base of these "pod" earrings, adding a source
of movement. The rich purple hue is created by oxidizing
the wire and with its hollow-construction, these are very
lightweight. These earrings have a hooked-backing.
