Bronze pendant worn by the Diviner of the Nuna people in Burkina Faso. Diviners wore bronze pendants and
would prescribe a small brass pendant
to be worn by a client to secure the
blessings if the spirits caused the
problem. The cresents with the ends
turned down were meant to protect
the wearer from disease.
