Stool - Lobi People - Burkina Faso

Price: $475.00

modern-rd-addtocart.gif  modern-rd-viewcart.gif

As is the case throughout much of Africa, stools among the Lobi people of Burkina Faso are indicative of one's status in the community. Three-legged stools, such as this one, are used exclusively by men, while women's stools have four legs. With it's carved head and three legs, this stool has an oddly anthropomorphic feel bordering on the surreal. 8"H x 6"W x 19"D
