Kenya's soapstone is found in the highlands of the Kisii district of Western Kenya. The artisans produce each piece of art without the assistance of any mechanical device. Excavation of the raw quarry stone, carving, polishing, painting, and etching the piece are all done by hand. Each work of art is an individual reflection of the artists' creativity and ingenuity.

These whimsical figures are available in rhino, hippo, and elephant. They are approximately 2.5" tall and are sold separately. Price is per figure.
