Melanie has searched the far reaches of the globe for over thirty years seeking authentic artifacts, as well as unusual beads, stones, natural materials and interesting shapes. Melanie has a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin and further studied at the Chicago Art Institute.

This necklace consists of a large piece of Pre-Columbian jade strung with pieces of spondylus shell from Mexico. It measures 17" end to end. The jade bead measures 1.5" tall.
