$250.00
The Ndebele are one of the most colorful people in all of Africa. They paint their homes in bright geometric patterns and adorn themselves with intricate beadwork. A Pepetu is a small apron worn by a young maiden. It is rectangular in shape and is worn together with a ‘thimba’ (backskirt). The pepetu‘s design declares that a young woman is of marriageable age and expresses the girl’s aspirations towards marriage and her home.
