Melanie has searched the far reaches of the globe for over thirty years seeking authentic artifacts, as well as unusual beads, stones, natural materials and interesting shapes. Melanie has a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin and further studied at the Chicago Art Institute.

Melanie’s jewelry can be found in museum shops, boutiques and galleries throughout the world.

This necklace is made of a copper decorative element from the Ashanti people of Ghana and a wood spindle whorl. The cord measures 24" end to end, and the wood and copper pendant measures 4" long.
