Copper Anklets-Mbole People-DRC(Zaire) SOLD
Price: $0.00

Everything from seashells to salt functioned as a medium of exchange in Africa, but the use of metals was particularly widespread. These elegant copper anklets were part of the bride price of various tribes in central Africa. As they were worn around the anklets of the bride, their original purpose is said to have been to keep her from running away.
This set of three anklets includes a stand which presents them vertically.
