"Lovely Lady" by David Gopito - SOLD

David Gopito, also known as Gopito Kadzunga, was born in the Chipinge area of Zimbabwe in the southeastern highlands. A stone carver for 20 years, his work centers around family themes expressing the endearing love between mother & child or an embracing family, protected by a “shadow ancestor”. His work has been shown in Australia, Europe, and America and are recognized by the National Gallery of Zimbabwe for their cultural expression. Exhibitions of his work have been held in London, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Pasadena, San Diego, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Atlanta, Portland and Dallas. David is married and has three children. His son Davison is about 14 years old and is learning to sculpt.

"Lovely Lady" measures 13" tall by 8" wide and is carved from springstone.
