This small, finely carved door is from the Baule people of the Ivory coast. It's imagery consists of four crocodiles, two of whose tails meet at the top, and two of whose tails meet at the bottom. The snouts of all four crocodiles meet at the corners of a carved square in the center of the door. The negative space between each set of crocodiles is heart shaped.
