Crocodile Mask - Bwa People - Burkina Faso -SOLD
Price: $0.00

In the Bwa village of Dossi, they tell
of an ancestor who travelled for
many days seeking new land to farm.
Exhausted and near death, the man
encountered a crocodile, who gave
him a large fish it had been carrying
in its jaws. Eating the fish restored
the man's strength, allowing him to
complete his journey. This mask is
danced to honor the spirit of the
crocodile, which continues to protect
the village.
