Melanie has searched the far reaches of the globe for over thirty years seeking authentic artifacts, as well as unusual beads, stones, natural materials and interesting shapes. Melanie has a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin and further studied at the Chicago Art Institute.

This necklace consists of a large bronze bead from the Ashanti people of Ghana strung with African trade beads. It measures 18.5" end to end. The bronze bead measures 2.5" tall by 2.25" wide.
