The Syekele is the only wooden mask worn by farmers. Two characters appear represented by the mask: The buffalo (tu), with large, vertical flat spreading horns, and the hornbill (kuma), with a curving beak that projects from the face. The masks appear at harvest time in annual rites. 25"H x 21"W x 9"D NOTE: This piece comes with a stand. Measurements are of mask alone.
