The nomadic Tuareg of west Africa are considered master craftsmen, especially in the mediums of leather and metal. This amulet, called a tcherot (pronounced chair-row), incorporates both leather and metal and is believed to have protective powers.

The pendant measures 3.5" high, 3" wide, and .5" deep. It comes on a leather cord which measures 18" end to end.
