Spindle whorls are made from clay, wood, and stone. Used originally as weights for traditional cotton spinning. Examples have been found that were in use before 1000 B.C. The remains of the individual original patterns are still visible on many despite their long term usage.

This spindle whorl measures 2.25" in diameter and stands 5" high when displayed on the included stand.
